Bingham Crossing – Phase 2 MSDP Approved

Springbank, Rocky View County (July 17, 2020)

On July 14, 2020, Rocky View County Council approved Rencor Developments Inc. (Rencor), Phase 2 Master Site Development Plan for Bingham Crossing, a state-of-the-art, pedestrian-oriented shopping and lifestyle centre in the heart of Springbank, just 3.2 kilometres west of Calgary, Alberta. Phase 2 proposes the development of a comprehensively planned large-format anchor building and related commercial retail.

Bingham Crossing is an important project for the nearby communities of Springbank and Harmony and will bring much needed, conveniently-located amenities into the area.”

Now that Phase 2 has received approval, Rencor will focus its efforts on pursuing lease agreements with a range of potential tenants, including a large format anchor. As lease agreements move forward, Rencor will also pursue a Development Permit application to allow for eventual construction.

The Development Permit for Phase 1 of the project was previously approved in September 2019 and will include a variety of commercial retail services, office spaces, a range of housing options including seniors housing and other amenities. Further information about development timelines will be released in the future.

Rencor is pleased to move this significant investment in the community and region forward, especially in the current economic climate in Alberta.

Bingham Crossing MSDP Phase 2

Bingham Crossing will be a master-planned shopping and lifestyle destination that provides local communities, and the entire Calgary Metropolitan Region, with a variety of high-quality shops, services and amenities alongside various office, retail and commercial services. The centre will establish attractive meeting places purposefully designed to facilitate social gathering in a comfortable, village-like atmosphere.
